10 years after the attacks, the reconstruction of the World Trade Center site is not yet complete. The works were nevertheless hastened to the first part of the building, "National September 11 Memorial & Museum," is opened in a few days.

10 years old soon. 10 years before the world has changed since the day when four airliners were hijacked to achieve the symbols of the United States of America.

That September morning, two Boeing went crashing into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York. A third crashed into the Pentagon building. Only one vehicle missed its target, probably the White House, thanks to the courage of the passengers on board.

Since the question was raised of reconstructing the site known as Ground Zero, a term usually reserved for epicenters of earthquakes which still points of impact ofnuclear bombs. It took an entire decade to finally see a project through. Some haveto call this state of "a national disgrace."
The draft presented by Michael Arad memorial entitled "Reflecting Absence" has finally won the architectural competition launched in 2004 by the City of New York.
The set will consist of World Trade Center memorial, the Freedom Tower (under construction), the museum and three other skyscrapers. The memorial consists of two ponds that were dug at the locations of the two towers, they are fed by waterfalls that fall from the top of the four walls of each basin.
